VANZANT (11/16/23) – Fire from three counties to a report of a fire in the 900 block of Willie Simmons Road between Vanzant and Falls of Rough Thursday afternoon. Initial reports indicate a garage involved with a structure endangered, with the fire later extending through a roof into the residence. The garage burned down with home a total loss. Units from Hardinsburg, McDaniels, Fordsville and Falls of Rough Departments were called out just after 1 Thursday afternoon, with Hardinsburg and Falls of Rough called back to the scene just after 5:30 on a report of re-kindling.
