SOMERSET (10/27/23) – Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Pulaski County from the weekend. The Somerset Police Department responded to a domestic violence complaint late Friday night where they encountered a male suspect armed with a firearm. During the confrontation, officers were forced to fire on the suspect, fatally wounding him. A Somerset officer who was injured during the incident was treated at a local hospital. The suspect was taken to the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
