BRANDENBURG (08/29/23) – Authorities in Meade County continue an investigation into the murder of a woman earlier this year. Rhonda Abersold (ay-ber-sol) was found dead in a residence along Kentucky 1638 back in June. A statement from the Sheriff’s Department posted to social media on Tuesday says Detectives have interviewed over 100 people in the investigation and are working with both state and federal authorities to review leads and evidence. The statement (which can be seen at w-x-b-c- one-oh-four-three-dot-com) adds that information on suspects will not be released until charges are filed. Anyone with information on Abersold’s death is urged to call the Meade County Sheriff’s Office.
