HARDINSBURG (04/16/20) — News of the 5th confirmed positive case of COVID-19 came shortly after officials held their weekly briefing Thursday afternoon regarding the local response to the pandemic.

Of the four prior cases, two had been released from medical care with the other two still in isolation but doing well.

Officials still urged social distancing, wearing masks in public, and hygiene/sanitizing as best practices to curb spread of the virus. Officials also stressed the need to take care of mental health needs during this time.

The Breckinridge County Health Department also reiterated to contact them if someone claiming from the CDC visits or calls them, ordering self-quarantine. The department says if there is a positive case from testing, they will be the ones to notify a patient or contacts following their investigation.
