Billy Curl, age 63, of Wolf Creek, died Tuesday (7/28) at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Pat Curl, 2 daughters: Sherrie Monroe of Wolf Creek and Karen Evans of Arizona, 2 sons: Tony Bunger of Ekron and Rick Evans of Bowling Green, a brother, Hubert Curl of Brandenburg and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. (ET) with burial in Parr-Frans Cemetery in Battletown. Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 9 p.m. (ET) and Friday after 8:30 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Central Kentucky.
Dorothy Bratcher, age 78, of Leitchfield, died Tuesday (7/27) at her residence. She is survived by her daughters: Denise Embry, Glenda Goss, Marsha Zeitz, Annette Goff and Allison Hyde, a sister Nell Ann Sparling, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clarkson Baptist Church with burial in Leitchfield Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home Friday after 11 a.m. and at the church on Saturday after 8 a.m.
Ollie G. Preston, age 82, of Leitchfield, died Monday (7/26) at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Carlene Coats Preston, 5 sons: Gary, Ollie, Jr., Paul, Marshall and Bryan, a daughter: Wanda Nunn, 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Chapel in Clarkson with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 1 p.m. and Monday after 8 a.m.
Betty Jane Alvey, 66, of Wax, KY died Monday (7/26) at her residence. She is survived by 2 sons, James Carman and Wayne Alvey; 2 daughters, Lisa Alvey and Tommy Hoben, 4 brothers, Jimmy, Davis, Muriel Wayne and Bobby Blair; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday(7/29) at Rogers-Oller Funeral Chapel in Clarkson, with burial in the St. Benedict Cemtery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday after 11:00 AM.
Charles Henry Probus, age 79, of Newburgh, Indiana, died Sunday (7/25) at St. Mary's Hospital. He is survived by a son, Neal Probus of Newburgh, a brother Denver Probus of Irvington, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Titzer Family Funeral Home in Newburgh with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
Opal Logsdon, age 82, of Clarkson, passed away Sunday (7/25). She is survived by 4 daughters: Magdalene Logsdon, Verna Constant, JoAnn Haycraft and Becky Clemons, 2 sisters: Pearl Bell and Corene Hayes, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (7/29) at Broadford Baptist Church in Clarkson with burial in Broadford Cemetery. Friends may call at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home Tuesday after 2 p.m., Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday after 8 a.m. until time of service.
