02/21/2012—The Breckinridge County Chamber of Commerce held their regular monthly breakfast meeting Tuesday morning at Frederick Fraize High School.  Chamber President Gabe Van Lahr introduced guest speaker Michael Ashcraft, the Economic Development Specialist for the United States Small Business Association. 
 
Ashcraft described programs and services offered by the Kentucky District Office of the Small Business Association.  These include loan programs for new or existing small businesses; the availability of state and federal contracts; and initiative opportunities available to businesses run by veterans and women.
 
Breckinridge County Chamber Executive Director Sherry Stith announced that Senator Rand Paul will be in Breckinridge County this Thursday.  Paul is scheduled to be at Breckinridge County Fiscal Court Judge Executive Maurice Lucas’ Office at 4:00pm.
