Cloverport Board of Education


7/24/2014—The Cloverport Board of Education approved a motion to purchase 80 “I-Pad Minis” at a special called meeting Thursday evening.  The cost of the devices is just over $22,000, and will be paid for by funds from the Race to the Top Grant.  The “I-Pad Minis” will be distributed to elementary students.

Fire Destroys Home Near Custer


7/24/14---According to John Betner of Custer Fire And Rescue, a house on Elliot Road near Custer was destroyed by fire on Wednesday evening. Betner reports that the fire started on the porch,and was fully involved when units arrived at the scene. Hardinsburg Man Arrested for Meth


7/24/14---According to Sheriff Todd Pate, a Hardinsburg man is in custody, following a home visit by the Department of Probation and Parole and the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Pate said he was contacted by Probation and Parole, requesting assistance with a home visit at a residence at 6392 West Highway 60, Hardinsburg.  A search of the home, at about 10:30

7/21/2014—The Cloverport City Council tabled action on the only bid they received for the city-owned building on Main Street that used to the house the Cloverport Diner, at their regular meeting Monday night.  Glenn Hamilton submitted the only bid.  Hamilton bid $10,500 for the building and the attached exhaust fan.  Hamilton also bid $10,000 for the building without
