SPORTS: BCHS Football Falls to Warren East; Volleyball Draws O-Cath


(10/25/14)- The Breckinridge County Fighting Tiger football team lost to Warren East on Friday (10/24) by the score of 63-to-0. The Tigers fell behind 35-0 after the first quarter and struggled to move the ball, gaining only 74 yards for the game, while surrendering 355 to the Raiders. The Tigers wrap up the regular season at home next Friday (10/31) night against Hancock County.

Power Outage in Hardinsburg on Thursday Afternoon


(10/23/14)- Officials with the Meade County RECC say a blown fuse in the area of Chambliss Drive in Hardinsburg just before 3 Thursday afternoon. Crews worked to restore power by 3:30. An undetermined number of customers in the area were affected, including WXBC's transmitter facilities.

Glenn Jury Trial


10/22/2014—A jury found Rondal Dale Glenn, 37, Harned, not guilty on two felony charges of receiving stolen property valued over $10,000.  They did return a guilty verdict on a lesser charge of receiving stolen property valued under $500.  The jury recommended a $500 fine.

Leslie Crump, 32, and Joseph C. Crain, 30, each pleaded not guilty to a charge of flagrant non-support.  Both will have a pre-trial conference December 3.
 
Brandin Wales, 30, pleaded guilty to flagrant non-support.  Sentencing was set for December 3.
