Breckinridge Circuit Court-Division 1


12/17/2014—Division 1 of Breckinridge Circuit Court with Judge Bruce Butler met Wednesday.
 
Mark A. Sharp II, 33, pleaded not guilty to a charge of flagrant non-support.  A pre-trial conference was set for January 21.
 
Judge Butler sentenced 34 year old Chris L. Bell to three years in prison, probated for five years, for flagrant non-support.

12/17/2014—Division 2 of Breckinridge District Court with Judge Robert A. Miller met Wednesday.
 
Valeria Hernandez, 30, pleaded not guilty to a charge of trafficking in marijuana, between 8 ounces and 5 pounds, 2nd offense.  A pre-trial conference was set for January 21.

Lake Levels To Drop Below Winter Pool


12/16/14 -The level of Rough River Lake is expected to be drawn down an additional foot below winter pool, according to the US Army Corps Of Engineers. The drop in water level will allow for an inspection of the water control tower and to make repairs at North Fork Boat Ramp. The winter pool is expected to be at 469 feet by Wednesday and will be at the lower level for about seven days.

Investigation of Bomb Threat Continues


Irvington Police are continuing their investigation into a bomb threat that happened at a convienance store. According to Irvington Police Chief John McNally, the Circle K store received a call from a blocked telephone number around 11:45 pm Sunday night, in which the caller stated that there was a bomb at the business. Cloverport City Council


12/15/2014—The Cloverport City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance closing a portion of Front Street at their regular meeting Monday evening.  The closure of Front Street, between Virden St. and Hudson St., was also  approved by four property owners who reside in the area.  Ownership of the closed area will revert to the property owners.
