Cloverport Board of Education

4/18/2024—The Cloverport Board of Education approved final paperwork on the HVAC project at their regular meeting Thursday evening.  The project has $19,627.35 in remaining funds.

 

In other business, Jeff Hendrick DBA Lawn Enforcement was awarded the bid for mowing services.

 

Jenny Bradley was awarded the bid for three pieces of surplus kitchen equipment for $700.00.

 

The Board approved an amended policy removing employee reimbursement of $5.00 for jury duty.

 

The Board approved the blanket hiring of emergency certified substitutes for the 2024/25 school year.

 

Four out-of-state field trips were approved.

 

The Board approved an amended calendar for the next school year.  There will be no school September 13 during the Sacajawea Festival.

 

A contract with Family Health Care Associates for nursing services was approved.

 

The 2025 Fiscal Year salary schedule was amended to include custodians.

 

In personnel matters, Superintendent Keith Haynes introduced Teresa Smith, who will assume her duties as principal on June 24, 2024.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the following Students of the Month were recognized: Raelynn Huffines, Eli Smith, Kaylee Clark, Willow Dupin, Michael Young, Trevor Davis, and Audra Embry.  Also: Charley Roach, Addi Mae Roach, Campbell Moore, Amelia Emmick, Ryan Flood, Brooke Guffey, and Cascy Burden.

 

The next Board meeting will be May 30 at 5:30pm.
