Cloverport Board of Education

3/21/2024—The Cloverport Board of Education approved a motion to not renew the contract with Frantz Building Services at their regular meeting Thursday evening.  The contract expires June 30, 2024.  At that time the district will resume control of custodial services.

 

In other business, the Board approved a motion authorizing Board Chairperson Susan Hendricks to discuss and negotiate contract terms with Superintendent Keith Haynes.  The new contract will run from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2028.

 

The Board approved paperwork closing out the HVAC project.  Construction costs for the project were $335,000.

 

The Board approved soliciting bids for mowing services and surplus kitchen equipment.

 

The Board approved one out of state field trip for the Life Skills Class to Holiday World.

 

In personnel matters, Laura Shultz has accepted the position of Payroll/Administrative Assistant; Patricia Windsor was promoted to Kitchen Manager; Felicia DuPont will coach Volleyball; and Scott Adcock will move from  Principal to Director of District-Wide Programs.  Superintendent Haynes said there were six applicants for the Principal position.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the following Students of the Month were recognized: Ollie Hinton, Alica Clark, Emma Simmons, Trenton Abbott, Lacey Simmons, Kynli Ransom, and Skye Harper.  Also: Kamden Moore, Zane Cartwright, Hunter Bradley, Aidan Tindle, Cora Embry, Brayley Blair, and Ellie Popham.

 

Also, the Breckinridge Masonic Lodge awarded Brently Abbott and Elyssa Moore with bicycles.  Both students are in the third grade.
