
HOPKINSVILLE (05/24/23) – An Indiana man is facing attempted murder of a police officer and charges after leading law enforcement on a pursuit through three western Kentucky counties. Kentucky State Police say 31-year-old Cody Alire (a-liar) was fleeing from deputies in McLean County Wednesday morning, with troopers and other law enforcement joining. During the pursuit, Alire shot at the pursuing vehicles. The chase continued into Muhlenberg County, then Christian County before Alire crashed into a utility pole in Hopkinsville, then was arrested following a brief foot pursuit. He was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center on charges including wanton endangerment, fleeing/evading police, and fugitive from another state.
