FRANKFORT (05/24/23) – A dedication ceremony was held Wednesday on the Capitol grounds in Frankfort for the memorial to honor Kentuckians who died during the COVID-19 pandemic. The memorial features several figures around a central column that supports a giant reflecting sphere containing the state’s motto and seal. The memorial fund was supported by numerous donations, including from health care systems with no tax dollars used, according to the governor’s office.
