Sports: Lady Tiger Volleyball, Soccer Post Monday Wins; Raiders Top Ravens In OT

HARNED (09/13/21) — The BCHS Lady Tiger volleyball team posted their third straight victory with a three-set (25-3, 25-9, 25-10) result at home against Cloverport Monday at Tiger Arena. They travel to Elizabethtown on Tuesday (09/14), then play Central Hardin on Wednesday (09/15).

MORGANTOWN (09/13/21) — The Lady Tiger soccer team claimed a 10-0 win at Butler County on Monday to improve to 5-5 on the season. Sydney Tucker scored 5 goals and Chloe Peterson recorded a hat-trick with three in the net. The Lady Tigers travel to Owensboro on Thursday (09/16).

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Carl Nassib’s strip-sack on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson came at a critical time in overtime and helped the Raiders to a 33-27 win in overtime. Derek Carr threw a 31-yard TD pass to Zay Jones for the game-winner.

UNDATED (AP) — Adam Wainwright tossed six innings and won his fifth straight start as the Cardinals whipped the Mets, 7-0. St. Louis moves to within a half-game of the last NL Wild Card spot with the win. 

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Southern Cal football coach Clay Helton has been dismissed just two games into his seventh season at the helm. The move follows Saturday’s 42-28 home loss to Stanford that dropped the Trojans out of the AP Top 25. Helton went 46-24 during his tenure.
