COVID-19: New Record Number Of Active Cases In County

HARDINSBURG (01/07/21) — Numbers of active Coronavirus cases in the County reached another record high with Thursday’s report. Local health officials are now reporting 108 active cases as of Thursday.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says the state had 4,911 new cases of COVID-19 reported Thursday, along with 37 additional deaths. The number was the second highest daily total since the coronavirus pandemic began. The highest number was reported Wednesday, 5,742. The state’s total number of deaths from the virus is now 2,843. The positivity rate, which reflects the rate of testing that shows a positive result, climbed to 11.9%, the highest since May 5.
