COVID Update: Over 100 Active Cases In County; State Numbers Dip

HARDINSBURG (01/05/21) — As of Tuesday, there were 101 active cases of COVID in Breckinridge County, the highest number recorded since the daily record-keeping began with the “red zone” designation on-going.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — New daily cases of COVID-19 dipped in Kentucky on Tuesday. But Gov. Andy Beshear warned that the figures could fluctuate coming out of the holidays. The state reported 1,781 new cases, which Beshear called the lowest Tuesday total in weeks. There were 23 new deaths reported on Tuesday.
