HARDINSBURG (04/23/20) — Health officials held their weekly briefing on the local response to the COVID-19 outbreak on Thursday.

Scott Shrewsberry of the County Health Department said as of 3pm Thursday, seven people had been diagnosed with the virus, with three in isolation but doing well, the remaining four had been cleared from isolation. 106 tests have been conducted by the department.

While officials are discussing methods to begin re-opening the state, Shrewsberry said residents need to maintain social distancing practices to limit spread of the virus.

In regard to Rough River Lake, boat ramps are open, but the lodge, restrooms and shelter areas remain closed. Shrewsberry said the department was also fielding questions regarding yard sales, which he said would go against state orders of gatherings.
