Coronavirus Cases In Breckinridge County Remain At Two, But Officials Still Encourage Social Distancing

HARDINSBURG (04/02/20) — Officials said at a press conference on Thursday afternoon that then number of Coronavirus cases in the county remain at two, but continued to plead for social distancing to keep curb spread of the virus.

Health officials reported 45 tests have been administered in the county. Of two patients who tested positive, Scott Shrewsberry of the Breckinridge County Health said both are in “good” condition: the 58-year-old male who was the first case has been released from isolation and doctor’s care, while the 76-year-old male is recovering in isolation. Federal patient confidentiality laws prohibit release of any specific identifying information regarding the patients.

As of Thursday afternoon, six cases had been reported out of Hardin County, two cases each from Meade and Grayson Counties and one case has been documented in Hancock County. Ohio County and Perry County, Indiana had no cases as of Thursday.
