HARDINSBURG (10/02/19) — The Breckinridge County Grand Jury has handed down a new indictment against Sheriff Todd Pate in connection to the March 8th accident along Kentucky 259 near North Fork that left a Leitchfield woman injured.
The indictment supersedes one that was handed down by a Grand Jury back in April.
In the new indictment, Pate is charged with assault, four counts of wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle under the influence- second offense. The panel chose not to indict on the charge of tampering with physical evidence, but did indict Pate on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of criminal mischief (1st and 3rd degree).
Pate’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 15th.
A complete report on the Grand Jury from this week will appear later on the website.
