LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Danny Oriente had three RBIs with a two-run homer in the third inning and a run-scoring sacrifice fly that helped top-seeded Louisville beat Illinois-Chicago 5-3 in the first round of the NCAA tournament Louisville regional. The No. 4 Flames homered in the first two innings and led 3-0 entering the bottom of the third.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Illinois State recovered from blowing a five-run lead to beat Indiana 8-7 in the opener of the Louisville regional. The Redbirds collected 18 hits and led 7-2 after six innings. Indiana tied it with a five-run seventh inning in which it scored twice on bases-loaded walks and another run on a hit batsman.

DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — The Southeastern Conference has revised its alcohol policy to allow the sale of beer and wine at sporting events. Chancellors and school presidents approved the revised rules during the conference’s annual spring meetings. The SEC’s 14 schools were previously prohibited from selling alcohol in public areas at venues.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The NFL has suspended Indianapolis Colts quarterback Chad Kelly for two games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Kelly signed with the Colts on May 20 after pleading guilty in March to a second-degree trespassing charge. He had been arrested in October after entering the home of a man and woman he did not know following a Halloween party.
