UNDATED (12/03/18) — The Breckinridge County Hgh School Fighting Tiger basketball suffered their first loss of the season with a 79-73 decision at Owensboro Catholic on Monday night. The Lady Tigers improved to 4-1 on the season with a 57-21 win at North Hardin. Both play in a double-header at Hancock County on Friday night. The Cloverport Aces and Lady Aces play the Hornets tonight.

UNDATED (AP) — A person with knowledge of the situation says Louisville has reached an agreement with Appalachian State’s Scott Satterfield to be the Cardinals’ next football coach. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because neither the school nor Satterfield had publicly announced the decision. Louisville has scheduled a Tuesday afternoon news conference with a “special announcement” about the program.

UNDATED (AP) — Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is offensive player of the year and one of five members of the top-ranked Crimson Tide to earn first-team honors on The Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference football team. Kentucky has the defensive player of the year in Josh Allen and the coach of the year in Mark Stoops. UK offensive lineman Bunchy Stallings and running back Benny Snell also made the first team.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Carson Wentz tossed two touchdown passes, Darren Sproles ran for a score and the Philadelphia Eagles stayed in the hunt for the NFC East title with a 28-13 victory over the depleted Washington Redskins on Monday night. Redskins coach Jay Gruden says quarterback Colt McCoy suffered a fractured fibula in his right leg in the second quarter and will miss the rest of the season.

ATLANTA (AP) — Stephen Curry scored 30 points, Kevin Durant had 28 and Klay Thompson chipped in with 27 as the Golden State Warriors cruised past the Atlanta Hawks 128-111 to snap a six-game losing streak on the road. Other NBA winners from Monday were Oklahoma City, Denver, Cleveland, Minnesota, the L.A. Clippers and Washington.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls have fired coach Fred Hoiberg with the team stuck near the bottom of the standings. Hoiberg was named Chicago’s head coach in June 2015 after spending five seasons as head coach at Iowa State. He finishes his tenure in Chicago with 115 wins and a single playoff appearance. The Bulls promoted associated head coach Jim Boylen to take over.

NEW YORK (AP) — UK Basketball moved to ninth in the last AP Top 25 college basketball poll. The top four remain unchanged in the poll released Monday with Gonzaga at the top, followed by Kansas, Duke and Virginia. Michigan moved to 5th in the rankings. The rest of the top 10 (in addition to Kentucky) are Nevada, Tennessee, Auburn and Michigan State.

KANSAS CITY (AP) — Kareem Hunt went unclaimed on NFL waivers three days after he was released by the Kansas City Chiefs. The star running back was cut Friday after TMZ released a video showing him pushing and kicking a woman during a February incident at a Cleveland hotel. Police did not charge Hunt with a crime, but the Chiefs released him for being untruthful with them about what happened.
