Emergency crews responded to the scene of an overnight house fire near the Breckinridge/Meade County line. The Hardinsburg and Rhodelia Fire Departments were called to a report of a two story house on fire in the 22,000 block of Highway 259 North, shortly after 2:00 Friday morning (12/01). Fire crews arrived to find the residence fully involved. The home was a total loss. Four members of the family were transported to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, by Breck Central EMS, to be checked for smoke inhalation. Highway 259 was closed at the fire scene for a time. Fire units cleared just before 5:00 am.
