BOSTON (AP) — Authorities have offered few answers after former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was found hanging from a bedsheet Wednesday in his cell in a maximum-security prison in Massachusetts. Hernandez was serving a life sentence for a 2013 murder and was found dead just five days after a jury acquitted him in a 2012 double-murder. A correction department spokesman said he was not aware of any suicide note, and officials had no reason to believe Hernandez was suicidal.

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — March Madness will continue its start in Dayton, as the NCAA says the Ohio city will host the pair of play-in games known as the First Four through 2022. The University of Dayton beat Detroit, Hershey, Pennsylvania, and Evansville, Indiana, to retain the opening games of the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament.
