(04/01/17)- The Breckinridge County Lady Tiger softball team has won it’s fifth straight game with a 12-10 slug fest Friday (03/30) at the Ballpark against Hopkins Central. The Lady Tigers are scheduled for games later today against Louisville Moore and Caverna.

DALLAS (AP) — The UConn women basketball’s record 111-game winning streak has been stopped by Mississippi State in the women’s Final Four at Dallas. Morgan William drained a 15-foot at the buzzer to give the Bulldogs a 66-64 win over the Huskies. William scored 13 points for Mississippi State, which blew a 16-point lead before advancing to Sunday’s title game against South Carolina, who beat Stanford, 62-53.

The Men’s Final Four takes place today in Phoenix: the first national semifinal pits Gonzaga against South Carolina, while the nightcap has North Carolina against Oregon. The national championship game is Monday night.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Mike Conley scored 28 points, Zach Randolph added 22 points and 12 rebounds, and the Memphis Grizzlies clinched a playoff spot with a 99-90 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night. Memphis’ win, coupled with Denver’s 122-114 loss at Charlotte earlier Friday night, earned the Grizzlies their seventh straight postseason berth.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A person with direct knowledge of the negotiations says Wichita State and the American Athletic Conference are in serious talks to have the school join the league as a non-football member as early as next fall. Officials at Wichita State and the Missouri Valley Conference aren’t commenting.
