JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Louisville assistant Mike Balado has been formally introduced as the new men’s basketball coach at Arkansas State. Balado spent the past four seasons at Louisville as an assistant for Rick Pitino.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) The University of Louisville women beat Tennessee 75-64 in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. The fourth-seeded Cardinals will face Baylor on Friday in the Oklahoma City Region semifinal.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds have picked Scott Feldman to start on opening day against the Philadelphia Phillies. Feldman signed a one-year deal with the Reds in January that guarantees him $2.3 million. Injuries have taken their toll on the Reds’ rotation with both Homer Bailey and Anthony DeScalfani both on the shelf.

BOSTON (AP) — Tom Brady’s missing Super Bowl jersey has been found in Mexico six weeks after it vanished from the Patriots’ locker room — but the mystery isn’t over. The NFL said the jersey was found in “possession of a credentialed member of the international media,” and authorities were investigating Monday whether a former Mexican tabloid newspaper executive played a role in the theft.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Relatives of Pro Football Hall of Famer Gale Sayers say the Bears legend has been diagnosed with dementia. His wife tells The Kansas City Star that her 73-year-old husband was diagnosed four years ago and she blames Sayers’ football career. He played for the Bears from 1965-71 after setting records at the University of Kansas.
